I added dns resolution to my geoip.pl perl script. Its pretty cool. Anytime I get spam I can type the ip or name into a command line and find out what country and city they are in. geoip.plPosted by Administrator

I experimented with 5 diff ways of redirecting a web page.Posted by Administrator
1. http-equiv="refresh"
2. redirect directive in apache conf file or .htaccess
3. php header("location")
4. php header("refresh")
5. perl cgi
the perl, apache2.conf, and php all could handle multiple domains with different first pages.
The advantage is that any page can access any file on the web server
The disadvantage is that the domain name will change with some of them.
Namely: apache2.conf since it cant be a relative url. Demo of these at redirects

I bought 3 - 55 gal plastic barrels for $12 a piece. They had soy sauce and vinegar in them.Posted by Administrator
I washed them out and after they dry I should be able to get a delivery of biodiesel at $5.09/gal from Simply Green in Stratham NH. It ain't cheap but I feel better if I am not using petroleum. Maybe I will start brewing my own. This site Utah Biodiesel Supply seems pretty good. I found the tank pump I needed from them for $25.
I also was looking at hot water heaters to replace my oil burner hot water. $269 at Home Depot. Insulate it well and it might make sense. I currently use about 220 gal of oil to heat my hot water for a year.
Solar hot water using vacuum collector tubes. About $5000. Ugh!
They recommend the vacuum tube type for up north.
Cordwood from my usual supplier is $270 a cord delivered and he can't deliver for 1.5 months. Gee! That would make it august before I could get the wood. It doesn't dry well when I get it in august. I will probably cut more wood from my own property and try other suppliers I know of.
I will get a price on pellets monday because I think I will prebuy pellets this year. I can store 2 tons in my garage.
