i got 170 gallons of biodiesel a week ago (last Wednesday). It cost me $5.04/gal and the bill came to about $854.00. I filled my tank up and it took about a 1/4 tank. So that is b25. I have the spare fuel filter standing by in case it clogs from the extra solvency of biodiesel. I will probably fill it up when its half next. Which will make it about b60. I got my 3 hdpe(high density polyethylene) tanks for $12/tank from a 90 year old woman in northwood nh. They are used food grade drums. I got 2-55g soy sauce and 1-50g vinegar. I washed them out and dryed them. I finally got my pump from Utah biodiesel for $25 plus $15 shipping. I bought 10 feet of glass re-enforced vinyl 1" id tubing for $1.75/ft from home depot. According to what I have read the vinyl will get eaten over time and have to be replaced. I have found some 1" id ether based polyurethane which is supposedly impervious. I will wait to buy it. Pretty soon I will get a LOF for the jetta and I will ask then to change the filter then.Posted by bob davis
Next problem will be when the temp drops below 40F. I will have to find a source of kerosene and a anti-gel fuel additive.
